Super Nintendo World Universal Studios Hollywood Officially Opens For Business

Super Nintendo World Universal Studios Hollywood Opens

Following Universal Studios Japan’s opening of the Super Nintendo World, Universal Studios Hollywood also revealed Mario is coming to USH. That was last year. Fast forward to today, or February 17, 2023, to be precise, Super Nintendo World Universal Studios Hollywood is officially open.

The Super Nintendo World will transport you into the world of Super Mario with attractions like Battle Team Bowser on the groundbreaking Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride, play interactive games throughout the land and track your score with a Power-Up Band as you complete Key Challenges, defeat Bowser Jr. and collect digital coins.

But the Power-Up Band is not free; you have to purchase the band before you visit Mario’s land on Universal CityWalk and locations in the Park. Well, at least, it is yours to keep. Anyhoo, the band has six design options with character themes, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and Princess Daisy; choosing a particular character also defines which Team guests will be a part of.

Speaking of entering the land… you may want to download the official Universal Studios Hollywood app to get your reservation time to enter the land. If desired, you can link a Power-Up Band to the app which will allow you to review the points and digital rewards, collect coins, and more.

Mario and friends will be on the park’s grounds to greet visitors. When it is time to rest and fill up your stomach, you may indulge in Chef Toad’s favorite recipes at Toadstool Cafe, or hit up the 1-UP Factory store, or the Super Nintendo World Store on CityWalk, to pick up some park exclusive merch.
