It looks ready to power a workshop, but those chunky ends hide USB-C connectors. Unnecessary Inventions’ Extension-C cable brings extension-cord styling to phone charging, complete with a 10-foot length and three colors. Finding it in your cable pile should be easy. Fitting your phone case could be another matter.
Packard Bell may remind you of the family PC, but its latest chapter includes something for lunch. Acer is marking the brand’s 100th anniversary with a colorful collection spanning a laptop, suitcase turntable, audio glasses, and a connected food steamer. That’s quite a departure from the computer desk.
A worn-out battery shouldn’t mean retiring an entire laptop. Acer’s new Vero 16 makes room for repairs with tool-free internal access, a user-replaceable battery and SSD, and a detachable hinge. It even supports processor upgrades for at least two generations, giving you reasons to keep it.
Typing on a gaming handheld usually means putting your thumbs through another workout. Acer’s Project DualPlay Mini concept takes a different approach: its 8-inch screen flips and swivels to reveal a backlit physical keyboard, turning the handheld into a tiny laptop for games, emails, and whatever interrupts them.
Acer’s Predator Atlas 7 and Atlas 8 let you take your PC games out without bringing a laptop. Both pack 120 Hz touchscreens, Intel Arc graphics, and batteries up to 80 Wh, but screen size and controls give you something to consider beyond which one fits your hands.
Answering questions is handy, but doing the legwork is what Acer has in mind for its SFF RTX Spark. The compact PC is designed to run personal AI agents locally, with up to 128 GB of unified memory and ambitions beyond being another box on your desk.
KUBB showed off a gleaming mini PC described as “24 karat gold,” then left the interesting questions unanswered. Solid or plated? Custom order or vanity project? The images date back to 2023, and those empty port openings suggest there may be less computer here than the headlines imply.
Close it, and Matthew Perks’ latest creation looks like a framed landscape painting. Fold it down, and the artwork becomes a desk revealing an ultrawide monitor, wireless peripherals, and a Linux PC hidden inside the wall. Even its power connection has been painted out of sight.
Summoning Shenron usually takes seven Dragon Balls. LEGO adds 1,764 pieces to the requirements with its first official Dragon Ball set, pairing the enormous wish-granting dragon with Kid Goku on Flying Nimbus. You get poseable details, a curling green centerpiece, and a reason to rearrange your shelf.
Most foam-dart blasters ask you to choose a firing mode and get on with it. The Lailaps lets you adjust 13 parameters, including velocity, burst length, firing rate, spin-up behavior, braking, and delays, then updates its firmware through a dedicated contact tool. It is basically the DSLR of compact foam warfare.
New Hong Kong brand XTRA has entered the foam-dart battlefield with a compact brushless blaster capable of 145 FPS and 12 rounds per second. The ATROX also packs four firing modes, an OLED display, swappable batteries, firmware updates, and enough modular accessories to fill those tactical pouches.
