Boeing Autonomous Passenger Air Vehicle Made First Flight

Bell Helicopter is doing it. Airbus and Audi is doing it too and so is Rolls-Royce. We are talking about autonomous air vehicle, or air taxi. While those aerospace giants are working on it, Boeing has revealed that on January 22, 2019, it has made the first flight with its own take called Boeing Autonomous Passenger Air Vehicle (PAV). Developed by Boeing NeXt, along with Boeing subsidiary Aurora Flight Sciences, the Boeing Autonomous Passenger Air Vehicle is an electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft which, honestly, is just a glorified pilot-less multicopter. Nissan Brought An Altima With Tracks To Montreal Auto Show

Here’s a Nissan Altima, but as you can see, it is not the run-of-the-mill Altima. It has heavy-duty track system in place of wheels. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, especially Nissan fans because, turning its cars into a powdered ground-tearing beast with tracks wasn’t new. I believe it started with Nissan Rouge back in 2016 for the Montreal Auto Show and then, Nissan followed up with a track 370Z, unveiled at the Chicago Motor Show, in 2018. Drone With Jumping Legs Will Revolutionize The Drone Industry

The mention of drones, two things came to mind: vertically take-off aircraft, often in the form of multi-rotor configuration (or in rare occasion, dual rotor, like a helicopter) or a fixed wing aircraft that pretty much designed to destroy. Both have its short falls. A multi-rotor aircraft sacrifices speed and payload for convenient take-off and landing, while a fixed wing has to put up with need for runways for speed and heavier payload. Many drone makers knew this and while some stick to their guns, some opted to go the hybrid route with a VTOL setup. Continue reading Drone With Jumping Legs Will Revolutionize The Drone Industry
