Trick or Treat Tesla Halloween Mode
Tesla has a Halloween surprise for trick-or-treaters, and it isn't just candy. Its new Halloween Mode turns parked vehicles into spooky attractions, complete with flickering lights and creepy sounds that activate when visitors approach. There's even a Ghost Costume for your virtual Tesla, because why should humans have all the fun?

Well, looks like Tesla ain’t going to let a certain EV company have all the Halloween glory. It has, I believe for the first time, introduced a Halloween Mode. Called Trick or Treat, the feature detects visitors approaching the vehicle and activates spooky lights and sounds to scare them. Nasty. Lol.

I mean, kids cannot expect to receive free candy without being scared shitless first, right? Something’s gotta give.

You can leave the trunk or frunk open and throw in your own Halloween decorations for maximum spookiness. Remember to dump a bunch of candy in there to reward the brave young souls who dare to venture near.

In addition, Halloween Mode gives you a haunting new interface featuring an evil-looking pumpkin, while your virtual car gets dressed for the occasion in a Ghost Costume, along with other spooky effects throughout the user interface.

The mode is part of an over-the-air software update that began rolling out on October 6, 2026.
