Motorola moto x4 Is Sleek, IP68 Rated, Lets You Use Alexa Without Unlocking

With all the hustle and bustle over the new iPhones, new Google Phone and even more recently, the ZTE dual screen phone and Huawei AI-ready Mate devices, it is easy to forget that there are other good handset makers out there. One of these ‘good handset makers’ would be Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility. Speaking of which, we would like to draw your attention to its latest, super sleek handset, the moto X4 (stylized as X4), which is very cool, btw). It is not the thinnest phone around. Not even remotely close, but for some reasons, the anodized aluminum and wraparound glass design and the different-from-most-handset-makers dual camera setup on its contoured back makes us want to take several more looks at the device. ZTE Axon M Is Flip Phone Over Again, But Now It Is A Screen Instead Of Keypad

Before a real foldable smartphone promised by Samsung becomes a reality next year, China handset maker ZTE has a “foldable” smartphone to offer to eager early adopters. Called ZTE Axon M Dual Screen Foldable Smartphone, it is not quite the foldable device most of us have in mind. Instead of a foldable display, it gets, as the product name implies, two separate display. Axon M second display opens up in the fashion of a flip phone, but instead of opening up in portrait orientation, it opens up landscape wise. The star of the show is clearly the dual display setup, each coming in at 5.2-inch and at 1080p FHD boosting 426ppi, overlaid with Corning Gorilla Gen 5. Huawei Unveiled Mate Devices, Tout Integrated Artificial Intelligence

If you don’t already know, what makes Huawei smartphones stand out (or not) from the sea of competitions is the use of proprietary processor manufactured by the company’s wholly-owned fabless semiconductor company, HiSilicon. Up till today, the handset arm of China’s telecommunication giant has been relying on HiSilicon-made processor. Normally there’s really nothing to talk about because, they are just processor, but today, that changes when Huawei Consumer Business Group introduced its first AI mobile chipset, the Kirin 970. Huawei Maimang 6 Android Phone Has As Many As Four Cameras

When it comes to mobile imaging, Huawei spares no expense in making it the best, even the device in question is not a flagship handset. Case-in-point, the new Huawei Maimang 6. While clockwork is only of a Kirin 659 SoC (with octacore processor, however), it does has not two, not three, but four cameras. We are talking about a dual camera setup around the back and a dual camera setup at the front. That’s something you don’t see often on flagship handsets, much less on non-flagship variety. Also on the front is the now-trendy edgeless display that stretches 5.9-inch across diagonally, packing 2,160 x 1,080 pixel resolution in also now-popular 18:9 aspect ratio. Latest Google Pixel Phone Leak Had Me Drooling Over The White Version

When it comes to mobile phone color, I usually would abstain from white. Not because it is easily dirtied, but because with a white device, more often than not, it will be paired with a white front which, IMHO, upsets the color balance since the display is black when not turned on. However, I might just change my stance if this is what a white Google Pixel 2 will look like. In the latest leak posted by Droid Life, the purported white Google Pixel 2 features a white majority back matched to a black glass section and surprisingly, it comes with a dash of orange… on the power button. The Display Tech Behind RED Hydrogen One Holographic Phone Revealed!

I love Star Wars as much as I love The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy because, the sci-fi movie franchise is loaded with many future tech that are still a dream to us mortals. As far as Star Wars is concerned, one of the tech that captures our imagination most would be holographic technology, particularly when it can be touched like the Dejarik, a chess-like holographic game famously played C-3PO and Chewbacca on Solo’s Millennium Falcon. Love is one thing, but I reserve the right to be skeptical about if it will actually realize in my lifetime. Continue reading The Display Tech Behind RED Hydrogen One Holographic Phone Revealed!

Samsung Plans To Release Galaxy Note Device With Bendable Display In 2018

The rivalry between Apple and Samsung could be more ferocious than some might have imagined. Case in point: just before the official announcement of Apple’s anniversary iPhone, the iPhone X and the next-generation iPhone, the iPhone 8, Samsung made an official statement in South Korea of its intention to continue pursuing foldable display smartphones. Until now, foldable display device is to smartphone like flying cars to personal transportation. There are talks about it and even concept made, but never realized. That being said, the concept of foldable phone, particularly one that has a foldable display, is not the newest news.
