Malaysia’s “Flying Car” Concept Looks Like It Had Cheap Fans Stuck On It

Malaysia is not particularly a pro when it comes to making cars. To put it bluntly, their National car isn’t the sharpest tools in the tool shed. But how bad it is? Well, lets just say that former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson had no good words for them and even caused a furore by smashing one up with a sledgehammer. In all seriousness though, it is not beyond redemption. At least the Wira was kind of OK, but still, I won’t trust them to come with a “flying car.” Just saying… Continue reading Malaysia’s “Flying Car” Concept Looks Like It Had Cheap Fans Stuck On It

China’s Ziyan UAV Revealed A Super Weird Attack Drone At Langkawi

What you see here is a Chinese combat-ready attach drone called Blowfish A2 from Chinese Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) maker, Ziyan UAV. Ziyan UAV is not a newcomer in making UAV, though. Prior to unveiling the Blowfish A2 at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2019 in Langkawi, Malaysia, the company already have at least 5 other helicopter-based combat drones under its belt. The Blowfish A2 is no different, but it stands out from the rest of siblings because of its very unusual form. Continue reading China’s Ziyan UAV Revealed A Super Weird Attack Drone At Langkawi

Amazon’s Ambitious Mothership Is Real! Nah, Just Kidding. It Is Fake. Phew!

For a moment, it appears that Amazon may have make good on its patent filed in 2014 for an autonomous airborne fulfillment center. Airborne Fulfillment Center or AFC is basically a giant warehouse in the sky that dispatches delivery drones from as high as 45,000 feet. It was a concept that is bold and yet feels dystopia and futuristic at the same time. Continue reading Amazon’s Ambitious Mothership Is Real! Nah, Just Kidding. It Is Fake. Phew!

Single-use Delivery Drones Completed And Passed Tests With U.S. Marines

I am sure you heard about the use of unmanned drones to make delivery, but do you know that the U.S. military also favors the concept? However, unlike its commercial counterpart, U.S. military is looking at drones that can go long distances and disposed after the cargo has been retrieved. So, yeah, single-use delivery drones are what Logistic Gliders, Inc. are developing and testing for the military under contracts with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL). Videos Of Russian’s “Flying Assault Rifle” Drone Proved That It Is Real

Well, what do you know? Apparently, the harbinger of death from up above, the quirky flying assault rifle drone proposed by Russian arms manufacturer Almaz-Antey, has at least one functioning example. In a pair of videos posted a year ago, on March 28, 2018, it shows the Almaz-Antey’s “experimental prototype combat drones violator” in action. Death From The Sky: Russian Arms Maker Proposed A Flying Assault Rifle

What you are looking at is a patent filed with the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (an equivalent of USPTO) by Russian arms manufacturer Almaz-Antey in 2018 that feels somewhat like a weapon straight out Iron Sky (2012, Entertainment One). It is a drone that was apparently designed around a conventional assault rifle which is kind of wacky if you ask me. We all know how long a clip lasts and so… like, why would a presumably combat drone limit itself with 30-something rounds? Perhaps, it could accept drum magazine? It possibly could. Airbus Trials World’s First Shore-to-Ship Deliveries In Singapore

Here’s another world’s first happening in tiny island state of Singapore. Airbus’ Skyways Parcel Delivery Drone has begun trial of shore-to-ship delivery in Singapore. Obviously, cargo delivery isn’t new, but as far as shore-to-ship delivery, this is the first. With this trial, it marks the first time drone technology has been deployed in real port conditions to delivery a variety of small, time-critical maritime essentials to working vessels at anchorage, said Airbus. Goodyear Dreams Of The Boldest Flying Car Concept Yet With Aero Tires

To be perfectly, we are kind of disappointed with the progress of flying cars. It seems like flying cars that so many companies claimed to be making are nothing more than an aircraft. Our concept of flying stemmed from Matt Trakker’s Thunderhawk. OK. Maybe not the gullwing doors that make it fly, but something along that line. However, if Goodyear’s vision of flying car were to become true, then perhaps, it does indeed fall inline with our ideal of a flying car. This Is XQ-58A Valkyrie UAV, The ‘Loyal Wingman’ To Fighter Jets

You know how some sci-fi and/or apocalyptic movies sometimes depicted unmanned fighter jets going out to take on the enemies? Well, that, my friends, is about to come true. And mind you, we are not talking about the current drones which are mostly use for reconnaissance and maybe drop a guided missile or two. We are talking about full-fledged unmanned, jet-powered fighter jets. We are talking about the experimental XQ-58A Valkyrie Unmanned Fighter Jet. Continue reading This Is XQ-58A Valkyrie UAV, The ‘Loyal Wingman’ To Fighter Jets

JPA The Speeder Is Star Wars‘ Speeder Bike In Real Life Money Can Buy

Behold, fans of Star Wars, Speeder Bike is totally real! well, kind of. It has no wheels and it certainly need no mirrors to pretend it is hovering. Nor does it needed to be hosed up and only does over water runs. Plus, unlike the Imperial’s floating bike that hovers just a few feet off the ground, this real world “Speeder Bike”, called The Speeder, can make a maximum altitude of 15,000 feet. Wait. Is it still a flying motorcycle at this point? It’s more like an aircraft, innit? Continue reading JPA The Speeder Is Star Wars‘ Speeder Bike In Real Life Money Can Buy
