This Midcentury House Is Not An Architectural Model, It Is A Birdhouse

What you see here is not a model of a midcentury house. Well, OK, it is, but, but… it isn’t an architecture model. It is actually a birdhouse. Yep. A house for birds. I bet some of our houses don’t even look half as good. Damn, lucky birdies! Created by furniture maker and entrepreneur, Douglas Barnhard, under the brand name Sourgrassbuilt, these miniature homes for birds drew inspiration from midcentury works by the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright and Joseph Eichler but with a dose of skate and surf culture of Santa Cruz where Douglas is based in. USJ’s Upcoming Final Fantasy-themed Roller Coaster Will Be A VR Fantasy

Fans of Final Fantasy franchise will have their fantasy come true starting January 19 when Universal Studios Japan’s new ride called Final Fantasy XR Ride opens for business. It won’t be in business for long, however. It will be a limited time ride introduced as part of Universal Studios Japan’s annual Cool Japan event. Now, you may be wondering: how the hell USJ built a ride and only to end it six months later on June 24? Well, the answer is simple (and a hint of the future of theme parks): it is not quite a physical ride design from the ground up; it is essentially the Space Fantasy – The Ride introduced in 2010, but given a theme change by the power of VR headsets. The most joyous day of the year may be behind us, but that does not mean the joy should not continue. Having said that, do you know what makes ‘joy’? Well, it would be a hilarious animated short about Christmas such as this animated Christmas short entitled Dear Satan. One look at the title, you knew it is going to tickle your funny bone. Created by ad agency Anomaly London, the film is about a young lass whose heartfelt letter to Santa inadvertently landed on the desk of the prince of darkness because of a very innocent mistake: a typo of ‘Satan’ instead of ‘Santa’. Xiaomi Brings USB-C Charging To Men’s Portable Electric Shaver For Just $27

Xiaomi may have built its name in copying products of some of the more established brands, but there’s no denying the company is trying its best to innovate. One of such example of the company’s innovation would be this shaver under the company’s sub-brand, Mijia. If I am not wrong, this is the first electric shaver from the brand. Now, a shaver by itself is clearly nothing new, but what makes Mijia Portable Electric Shaver so special is not just the Xiaomi’s now signature minimalistic design; it is probably the first electric shaver in the market to tout recharging via USB-C. Yup. USB-C has arrived to shaver. So, I guess it is a ‘yay’? Maybe? Continue reading Xiaomi Brings USB-C Charging To Men’s Portable Electric Shaver For Just $27

Custom LEGO Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime Needs To Be A LEGO Set Now!

If you really think about it. Transformers’ Optimus Prime is kind of lame. I mean, he is the leader of the Autobot, but look at him. He is only but a prime mover, AKA semi, which is hardly intimidating, really. A Filipino-American artist, Don Figueroa, probably thought the same when he reimagined Optimus Prime into a Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime for a Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover comic. Not only Don’s Prime won’t be so lame, it will now strike fear in his enemies both as a robot and as a vehicle. Man, look at those weapon system! Who needs to throw punches anymore? UFO Chicken Coop Puts The Question Of Chicken Or Egg To Rest Forever

I knew it! I always knew chickens are not merely food for humans! There maybe some clever ones like, you know, those in Chicken Run (2000, DreamWorks), that are perhaps intelligent like aliens. Superior beings, as we would call them, but how I know? Just look this UFO Chicken Spaceship Coop by Backyard Chickens. While these chickens may not have built them, it does paint a perfect picture of aliens, I mean chickens, landing here on Earth. That being said, we can shut our argument on chickens or eggs first. Nothing Much Here. It’s Just A Round Take Of The 1984’s Three Man Chess

The old adage of “two’s company, three’s a crowd” is obviously not true with the 3 Man Chess. First invented by George R. Dekle, Sr. in 1984, the 3 Man Chess you see here is a new take of the original while retaining the same principle of three’s not a crowd by allowing three person to play a game of chess together. For the uninitiated, George R. Dekle, Sr.’s original design was a hexagonal board comprising of 96 quadrilateral cells. But in the case of this 3 Man Chess set, it sports a round board that measures 19 inches (48 cm) in diameter and comes in at 1/8-inch (3 mm) thick. Continue reading Nothing Much Here. G-Shock Lends Some Bold Colors To Men’s Street Style Watches

G-Shock watches’ norm is the signature black colorway which is cool because they are, after all, rugged timepieces, but if you are going score in the street style department, colors are essential. However, for everyone else who are open to bold colors, G-Shock has recently announced new, vibrant colorways for two popular men’s street style models for this holiday season.
