Honor has launched the Honor 600 series in China, and clearly, one phone is never sufficient. Buyers must now choose among the Honor 600 Pro, Honor 600 Super Edition, and Honor 600 Vitality Edition. Thankfully, though, their differences are more substantial than their names suggest.
All three share a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with 2,728 × 1,264 resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a claimed 8,000-nit peak brightness, 3,840 Hz PWM dimming, and a 50 MP selfie camera. They also offer IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection, so rain, dust, and aggressively directed water should have difficulty ruining your day.
The Honor 600 Pro [CH] sits at the top with a Dimensity 8550 Elite processor and three rear cameras: a 200 MP OIS main camera, 50 MP OIS periscope telephoto, and 12 MP ultrawide macro. It supports full-focal-length 4K Live capture and packs an 8,000 mAh battery with 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. Oh, it also has a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Honor 600 Super Edition [CH] uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and retains the Pro’s 200 MP OIS main camera, paired with a 12 MP ultrawide macro. It loses the periscope telephoto and wireless charging but retaliates with an enormous 8,600 mAh battery, 80 W charging, and 27 W reverse wired charging. In an emergency, your phone can become another phone’s power bank.
Finally, the Honor 600 Vitality Edition [CH] combines the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with a 50 MP OIS main camera, 12 MP ultrawide macro, 7,000 mAh battery, and 80 W charging. It is the sensible entry model, assuming a phone with a 7,000 mAh battery can still be called sensible.
The Vitality Edition starts at 2,699 yuan [CH], or about US$400. The Super Edition starts at 3,299 yuan [CH], or about US$489, and finally, the la crème de la crème of this series, the Pro, has a starting price of 3,899 yuan [CH], which works out to be around US$578. Chinese availability has been announced, but international release details remain unknown.
