Leaked Nokia 8 Images Suggest Zeiss Optics And Copper-like Casing

HMD Global, the Finnish company that bought part of the rights to design and market Nokia phones from Microsoft, has been quite about the company first-ever flagship device, Nokia 8, but this being the Internet, words tend to get around pretty fast and so, here it is, the so-called first look of the Nokia 8 (more like leaks, really). Also, and naturally, it will be an Android device which will run on Android 7.0 and as the images suggests, it will be touting a dual-lens setup from Zeiss optics. Zeiss optics should not come as a surprise since earlier this month, HMD Global and Zeiss did announced to put the optic maker’s ware on Nokia phones moving forward. Nokia 6 Arrives In The USA, Available Starting July On Amazon For $229

Earlier this year, HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for mobile phones and tablets, announced its first Nokia smartphone, the Nokia 6, since its ‘resurrection’, but unfortunately, to the dismay of the international community, it was then said that it will only be sold in China. However, it looks like the company has a change of heart because official words have been released, saying that Nokia 6 is headed to U.S. shores and it will be available starting July 2017 through Amazon, priced at $229. This should come as good news as those who are dying to get their hands on it will not have to turn to unauthorised seller who don’t offer any warranty. Nokia 3310 Lives Again In Color And With A Month’s Worth Of Battery Life

So you heard the exciting rumor and now here the official words from the maker: Nokia 3310 is alive once again – thanks to licensed Nokia phone maker, fellow Finnish company, HMD Global. If you are expecting an exact replica with modern innards, well, then I am afraid you might be disappointed. To be honest, I was expecting an identical reboot, except for more modern touches like the inner workings. So, in a way, I was both excited and disappointed. I mean, the phone is sleek and all, but it is not the 3310 we adored and you can’t even switch out the case like most Nokia handsets could in those days. Then again, I really shouldn’t cling on to the past. Continue reading Nokia 3310 Lives Again In Color And With A Month’s Worth Of Battery Life

Rejoice Nokia Fans Cos’ The Iconic Nokia 3310 Is Coming Back!

Nokia once reined supreme in the mobile phone arena. Unfortunately time and technology had caught up with them, effectively putting an end to the era of cell phone. During its heyday and before the proliferation of smartphones, the Finnish tech company had turned out countless mobile phones, but it was the 3 series, particularly the 3310, that became sort of an icon. Offered by its then-trendy candy form was a durable phone that supports long text messaging (man, it was god sent, really!), along with useful tools like calculator, stopwatch, and even packing a bit of fun too with games such as the sequel to the hugely popular Snake. HMD Resurrects Nokia Smartphone, Brings Nokia 6 To China Market

Nokia smartphone has rose from the ashes thanks to HMD Global Oy, a Espoo, Finland-based company, who has proclaimed itself as the new home of Nokia phones and tablets. HMD is the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for mobile phones and tablets, and the first phone to roll out under its wing is an Android phone called Nokia 6. Before we continue, we ought to forewarn you not to expect anything extraordinary. Beyond the marketing talk about the “new design philosophy,” the Nokia 6 features are rather rudimentary, really. That’s not to say HMD isn’t giving it less TLC. The company surely did, after all, it is the company’s first Nokia Android phone. Nokia’s $60K Virtual Reality Camera, OZO, Is Open For Pre-order

After giving up its mobile division, Nokia has been dabbling in bigger things, like navigation and imaging. If you have not yet hear, earlier on this year, the Finnish tech company has unveiled its first virtual reality camera, dubbed OZO. The product name is as odd as the shape of the camera. When viewed from the front, OZO appears to be a sphere, stuck with several cameras around it, that is not uncommon in 360-degree cameras but in reality, it is has a teardrop shape with duckbill-like end. Remember those sci-fi movies that you have watched where future stuff seems to look pretty weird? Well, this is one such stuff, except that it is very much a present day gadget and Nokia is already taking pre-order for it, ready for delivery sometime in Q1 of 2016. Nokia Outs Minimalistic and Beautiful N1 Lollipop-powered Android Tablet

So you think the sale of Nokia’s Devices and Services Unit to Microsoft signals the end of Nokia consumer hardware legacy? Well, not so soon. The Finnish company is quick hop back into the hardware arena, but this time with a dainty little Android tablet called N1 that has an uncanny resemblance to the iPhone 6/6 Plus, a design consisting of smooth round edges. If not for the aspect ratio and a significantly larger form factor, it would almost look like Apple’s latest mobile devices, but probably only more simplistic. Anyways, we’re all good with the minimalistic approach as far as aesthetic is concerned. Sporting an unibody anodized aluminum body in soft finish, the N1 is fitted with a handy 7.9-inch display boasting 2,048 by 1,536 pixels.
