Samsung’s New Galaxy Book Availability And Pricing Announced

April 21 is the date you want remember if you can’t wait to get your hands on the new Samsung Galaxy Book announced last month. For those in the U.S., Galaxy Book 12-inch LTE model will be available at Verizon Wireless for $1,299.99. On the same day, pre-orders for the WiFi models, which starts at $1,129.99 and $629.99 for the 12-inch and 10.6-inch respectively, will kick off at Samsung online store and select retailers including Best Buy. If not into pre-ordering, or even grabbing the LTE model, you will be able to buy the device a month from now, starting May 21. As Samsung’s mobile division is dealing with the aftermath of fiery phone, alleged exploding washing machine and shady dealings, it is business as usual for other aspects of the business and that’s a good thing because, we won’t want to see another good competition goes down the drain. Speaking of business as usual, that already has been happening non-stop as the company tries to cope with unfortunate blunder (in the history of modern gadgets, that is) and it is no exception for Mobile World Congress 2017, happening in Barcelona, where the electronics giant has announced a new trio of tablets, Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Books. Huawei MateBook 2-in-1 Convertible Tablet Opens For Pre-order

First announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei MateBook 2-in-1 Convertible Tablet is now open for pre-order through Microsoft Stores and Microsoft web store. Amazon and Newegg will also be retailing the device starting mid-July. So what’s the MateBook? I don’t know. You be the judge. On one hand, it is appears to be tablet, though the price clearly says it isn’t (more on that later), and on the other, Huawei can’t help but to refer it to as a ‘PC’. We would like to think of it as a Windows slate but with the choice of using a keyboard (that doubles as a cover) if you really need to type furiously with more ease. Are You Ready For the First Ever Microsoft-built Laptop and the New-Generation Surface Pro?

After much anticipation (or not), Microsoft has finally unveiled a slew of Windows 10 devices, which includes the new-gen slate/laptop hybrid (Surface Pro 4), the company’s first laptop, Surface Book, and a couple of Microsoft-branded Lumia smartphones. Let’s start off with the Surface Pro since most of us are pretty familiar with. The fourth iteration of slate/laptop hybrid is powered by the 6th Intel Core M, Core i5, or Core i7 processor, and has a pretty 12.3-inch PixelSense Display touting 2,736 x 1,824 pixels. Surface Pro 4’s magnesium body features a built-in multi-position kickstand, as well as magnetic elements to accommodate the keyboard. DELL’s First Ruggedized Tablet is Built for “Harsh Environments”

Clearly, ruggedized gadgets aren’t meant for regular consumers. They are mainly geared at people who expects a lot of bad things to happen to the gadget, such as places like construction site, around some glacier and the likes. If you happen to be in the said places, or anywhere that may expose your tablet to dire situations, then DELL’s first fully rugged tablet, Latitude 12, may be a welcoming proposition and one that’s looking rather neat. It is built to withstand harsh environments by resisting water spills, sand and dust, sustain drops from over four feet, and operating in extreme temperatures of between -20 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit. By now, the Algiz 10X Rugged Tablet by Handheld Group would have felt dated and it is only right it gets some deserving upgrade, and it did. Swede Handheld Group has recently announced the upgraded Algiz 10X, simply known as Algiz 10X ver. 2, now boasting a more power processor that promised speedier startup and operation, along with increases software compatibility. As before, you can expect the device to be built tough and in this case, it is IP65 rated and is said to meet MIL-STD-810G military standards, keeping the device sealed against dust and water, while resisting vibrations, drops and even extreme temperatures (-20oC to 60oC, or -4oF to 140oF).
