TECNO is a special company. While it appears that fellow phonemakers are dipping their toes into the slim Olympics, it is not. It is charging ahead with skinny devices. And yes, it has yet another slim smartphone. Joining the CAMON series alongside the SPARK Slim and POVA Slim is the new CAMON Slim.
Measuring just 6.39 mm thick, the TECNO CAMON Slim is another reminder that slim phones do not have to sacrifice personality. Around the back is one of its biggest party tricks: an AI Mood Light system made up of 354 mini LEDs capable of 55 lighting effects. Incoming calls, charging, gaming sessions, and notifications each get their own animated light show. You can even have it wink or flash a smiling face because, apparently, phones now have moods too.
TECNO did not stop at lights. The CAMON Slim comes dressed in a variety of artistic finishes. “New Mondrian” reveals the painter’s iconic geometric blocks under UV light, “Van Gogh Blue” recreates The Starry Night with a shimmering effect, while “Prism Black” and “Jungle Green” create a naked-eye 3D crystal illusion.
Photography is handled by a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera paired with TECNO’s AI imaging tricks for sharper low-light shots and steadier videos. Around the front is a 32 MP wide-angle selfie camera that is more than happy to squeeze your entire group into frame.
Beyond photography, the CAMON Slim packs a long list of AI tools. AI Snap Poster helps small businesses create product posters in seconds, AI Recording Notes turns lectures into organised notes, while AI Healthy Eating estimates calories from food photos. Football fans even get AI-powered match predictions and goal alerts.
Despite being only 6.39 mm thin, the CAMON Slim squeezes in a 6,000 mAh battery, a 1.5K 144 Hz AMOLED display, and IP69/IP68 water and dust resistance. Pricing has yet to be announced, with availability varying by market. Meanwhile, you can learn more here.
