Don’t like street trucks? Well, how about a good’ol American muscle car like the new 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Carbon Series? This latest muscle car from the Blue Oval makes a striking debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, combining high performance, advanced technology, and premium craftsmanship.
Central to the GTD’s performance is the new Performance pack, designed to help the car achieve a sub-7-minute lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This pack includes active aerodynamics like dive planes, a larger front splitter, underbody flaps, and a drag reduction system on the rear wing. These elements work together to reduce drag on straightaways while maintaining aerodynamic grip in corners. The Lightweight package further enhances performance with 20-inch magnesium wheels and a unique front fascia, while reducing weight by removing some sound-deadening materials.
The Mustang GTD’s interior is crafted with the driver in mind. It features standard Recaro seats, a thick-rimmed flat-bottom steering wheel with premium Dinamica and leather inserts, and carbon-fiber accents. The steering wheel includes buttons for adjusting suspension firmness and exhaust mode, allowing drivers to fine-tune their driving experience without taking their eyes off the road. The 3D-printed titanium paddle shifters, oversized for ease of use, are another nod to the car’s motorsport inspiration.
Visually, the Mustang GTD stands out with its Chroma Flame paint, exclusive to this model, alongside other color options like Polymimetic Gray and Race Red. The Carbon Series trim leaves key elements like the hood and roof unpainted, showcasing the carbon-fiber construction. Magnetite-finished wheels and various brake caliper colors, including Grabber Blue and Race Red, add to the car’s striking appearance.
Inside, the Mustang GTD elevates the driving experience with a reconfigurable digital gauge cluster and a Sync 4 infotainment system powered by Unreal Gaming technology. Unique graphics and a focused Performance gauge cluster enhance the car’s high-tech feel, aligning with its status as the pinnacle of Mustang performance.
