Calling all vampire enthusiasts (ermm, that’s a thing, right?). Book publisher Beehive Books now has a new edition of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It is not just a regular book, though. It is the entire Dracula’s experience. Though, thankfully, no blood will be spilled, or sucked.
Dracula: The Evidence Hardcover Edition is the classic vampire story that started it all, presented as an interactive experience, an archive telling of the story with a bunch of letters, clues, maps, and more.
For those who have read the book, you will know immediately this edition of “interactive” Bram Stoker’s Dracula makes a lot of sense. After all, the original book was presented as a collection of found documents, like correspondence, newspaper articles, journal entries et cetera.
If the Dracula: The Evidence sounds vaguely familiar that is because, this is a hardcover edition of the experimental version Beehive Books funded on Kickstarter last year.
The gist of what the Dracula: The Evidence Hardcover Edition is, you don’t just read a book. The book has been broken down to what made up the book in the first place: the documents like the aforementioned correspondence, along with charts and diagrams, memoranda, photographs and then some.
You get a choice of getting oversized hardcover, or a custom designed briefcase, or an elegant wooden box that, very appropriately, reminiscent of a coffin.
