Pop Mart’s first and flagship character, MOLLY by Hong Kong artist Kenny Wong, is 20 years old this year, and it is celebrating the milestone with Honor. Folks, meet the definitive phone for any serious MOLLY fan: the Honor 500 Pro MOLLY 20th Anniversary Limited Edition smartphone.
Unlike the RSR we saw earlier, which comes with design and feature differences from the base phone, the MOLLY phone is essentially the Honor 500 Pro you already know. But let’s be honest. MOLLY fans would not care less. It is the “care package” that seals the deal here. Trust me. This is a collector’s wet dream.
Before we get into that, let’s talk about the phone itself. The Honor 500 Pro MOLLY 20th Anniversary Limited Edition [CH] features an image of MOLLY on the back cover. Mind you, this is not just any printed graphic. The phone sports a matte-finished back, accented by a mirror-finished MOLLY graphic inlay, creating a subtle yet striking contrast between texture and reflectivity.
The MOLLY theme continues throughout the UI, including a baby angel MOLLY charging animation, customizable lock screens with MOLLY stickers, and custom MOLLY watermarks for photos.
Now for the good stuff. The phone comes with the works, including a camera-style case, a magnetic phone stand that masquerades as a camera lens, and a custom Honor x Pop Mart MOLLY co-branded strap. When opened, the “camera lens” stand’s cap doubles as an additional light for imaging and streaming. Clever, and genuinely novel.
There is more. Inside the box, you will also find a welcome envelope with a gold MOLLY-themed SIM ejector tool, a stack of MOLLY-themed red packets, a collectible film strip featuring various MOLLY designs, embroidered-style fridge magnets, and an anniversary postcard. Everything comes packed in a huge luggage-style box featuring MOLLY in her various guises, which lights up to further make the artwork stand out. Rounding up the gift box is a leather-like handle.
