The R98 HE is a 98% Hall-effect gaming keyboard built around Ice Shark Linear Magnetic Switches with adjustable actuation ranging from 0.1 mm to 3.4 mm. A Rapid Trigger precision increment of 0.005 mm makes it feel almost like stepless adjustment. Whether you want feather-light keypresses or a little more resistance, the keyboard lets you dial it in to your liking.
It also looks the part. ATTACK SHARK pairs a forged carbon fiber composite top cover with matching carbon fiber composite keycaps, while a front-facing RGB lightbox gives the keyboard a distinctive look that sets it apart from the sea of black rectangles occupying today’s gaming desks.
Performance is every bit as serious as the styling. The R98 HE boasts an 8,000 Hz polling rate, 0.08 ms latency, and a whopping 256K scan rate (256,000 Hz matrix scan sampling rate). Circling back to the switches, the PCB is hot-swappable and supports aftermarket magnetic switches like Gateron Jades, while onboard memory safely stores your settings.
