CaDA 1:24 Alpine A525 Formula 1 race car building set

I am going to assume Formula 1 fans are without borders when it comes to toys and collectibles. If that holds true, then F1 fans may want to consider adding the latest 1:24 scale BWT Alpine F1 Team A525 race car building set from CaDA to their brick-built pit lanes and garages.

The A525 is, of course, Alpine’s latest F1 car for the 2025 season, succeeding the A524, which LEGO already has a set for under the Speed Champions line. Officially licensed by Alpine, this is a 1:24 scale brick-built model of the team’s Formula 1 race car. It features the now-familiar blue and pink colorway, decorated with BWT and Alpine branding, along with the bulk of the sponsors. CaDA managed to get most of the sponsors on board for this set, except for a handful.

The model recreates the front and rear wings, sidepods, and the rear rain light. As with CaDA’s 1:24 Kick Sauber F1 race car set, this latest 1:24 scale F1 build also uses special molded parts, including the Halo system and the aerodynamic side mirrors. It even boasts a steering wheel with printed details, along with narrow front slicks and wider rear slicks, complete with printed Pirelli P ZERO markings. Man, it is good to have the blessing of businesses, don’t you think? It makes everything feel oh-so-realistic.

As before, where there are graphics, they are high-resolution printed parts, which is a major boon, at least for me. I am not a huge fan of unforgiving decals. Water slides are fine, but decals and transfer stickers are a huge dealbreaker. Another highlight of CaDA’s 1:24 F1 build sets is that you can change the livery to the driver of your choosing.

Here is where things get a little more interesting for fans. You get to display the race car as #10 for Pierre Gasly or #43 for Franco Colapinto. This goes beyond just swapping numbers. The T-wing camera housing follows FIA requirements to distinguish the two cars, with black for Gasly and fluorescent yellow for Colapinto.

It does not end there. You get not one but two minifigures, each styled after the actual driver. Gasly comes with facial hair and shorter hair, while Colapinto gets styled hair without facial hair. Even the lower limbs, a.k.a. the pants section of the racing suit, are printed with the drivers’ respective numbers: PG10 for Pierre and FC43 for Franco. Rounding out the package is the requisite commemorative plaque.

When completed, the model measures 22.5 centimeters (8.9 inches) long, 8.5 centimeters (3.3 inches) wide, and 5 centimeters (2.0 inches) tall.

The CaDA 1:24 Alpine A525 Formula 1 Race Car (C55024) has launched in China, alongside a 2025 version of the Kick Sauber F1 race car model, priced at 99 yuan [CH] (about US$14).
