setting up a home theater is much like a rocket science to some and a definite nightmare for neat-freak. can you imagine the cables that are going to snake around your beautiful living room? scary, isn’t it? thanks to the development of single-piece sound bar such as the Definitive Technology SoloCinema XTR, almost anyone could set up a decent home theater – as long as you can read which we assume that you do know how to read, right? anyway, what makes the SoloCinema XTR are two distinct features: it has an extreme slim form factor (it measures just 6.99mm or 2 3/4″ deep) to match you anorexic-inflicted HDTV set and a wireless subwoofer that further reduces the clutter. yes, the you-do-not-need-to-pair wireless subwoofer comes standard in this pretty pricey $1,999 home theater system setup. and the sub is unusually slim too: measuring an incredible thin 6.5 inches or 16.5 cm – so that you can easily slip behind your furniture for that extra uncluttered look. well, not that it looks ugly or anything of sort but you know, its a bonus nevertheless. other highlights include three 1″ pure aluminum dome tweeter, six 3.5″ XTDD anodized aluminum mid/bass dome drivers, a 8″ long throw subwoofer, three HDMI inputs, SPDIF (optical) input, analog RCA, built-in wireless functionality, a built-in 200 watts, 9-channel Class D amplifier (250 watts for the sub), digital signal processing that’s capable of handling Dolby TrueHD, and DTS HD audio, and it comes packaged with its own ergonomic remote complete with LED indicators, separate control for center channel and subwoofer, source selection, and access to pre-set surround parameters for movie and music. check out a few more look after the break.
