If you reside in a region with four seasons, then I am guessing a fan and a heater are must-haves, which, needless to say, take up extra space. Thankfully, there are fan heaters or hot-and-cool appliances that do two things in one device. The Dyson Hot+Cool HF1 Remote Link Pre-heat Heater and Cooling Fan is one such device. It is not just a heater and cooling fan combo. It is an evolution of the heater and cooling fans.
For starters, it prides itself as Dyson’s quietest, most powerful heater and cooling fan, with standout features including faster whole-room heating, intelligent remote and app control, and the ability to pre-heat your room before you arrive home, so you return to a warm and crisp dwelling.
As before, it uses Dyson’s bladeless fan technology, a.k.a. Air Multiplier, to push out cooled or heated air. The motor at the base is capable of delivering over 200 liters of smooth, high-velocity air per second for cooling in summer. Meanwhile, high-efficiency ceramic heating panels combined with Air Multiplier technology enable faster whole-room warming. Moreover, optimized airflow and intelligent temperature control help reduce wasted energy.
Another star feature is Remote Link Pre-heat. Through the MyDyson app, you can pre-warm your room remotely before arriving home. The app also lets you adjust temperature, oscillation angles, and fan speed. As before, it also comes with a remote that features a curved design, allowing it to be stored neatly on the device itself when not in use.
The Dyson Hot+Cool HF1 Heater and Cooling Fan further boasts Sleep Mode and Child Lock. Aesthetically, it inherits the now-iconic bladeless fan design, but with a more streamlined airflow structure, featuring slanted vanes that accelerate 23 liters of air per second for smoother, more directed flow. In addition to adjustable oscillation angles, it also supports precise comfort positioning. All these are packed inside a regular-size Dyson bladeless fan, which is a pretty impressive engineering feat, IMHO.
The Dyson Hot+Cool HF1 Remote Link Pre-heat Heater and Cooling Fan was launched in Japan and select Asian regions for 59,950 yen [JP], and was subsequently launched in its home market, the U.K., for £399.99. Last check, though, it appears to be sold out. Oops. No word yet for the North American markets.
