What do you get when you combine Formula 1’s 75th birthday, Silverstone’s legendary track, and over 10,000 LEGO bricks? Apparently, some of the coolest, heaviest trophies ever handed to race car drivers.
Over the weekend at the 2025 British Grand Prix, LEGO handed out brick-built trophies to the top three drivers and the winning constructor—that’s right, actual LEGO trophies. First-place winner Lando Norris hoisted a 2,717-brick creation trimmed in gold, while his teammate Oscar Piastri (2nd) and KICK Sauber’s Nico Hülkenberg (3rd) got white LEGO trophies with red and blue accents, respectively. McLaren, as the top constructor, scored a deep blue-and-gold version of their own for the trophy case.
These weren’t mini-builds, mind you. The first-place and constructor trophies each stood over 59 cm (about 23 inches) tall and weighed more than 2 kg (4.4 lbs). The second- and third-place versions were slightly shorter at over 43 cm (17 inches), but still towered over anything you’d find in a LEGO retail box. For reference, the real RAC trophy is 70 cm tall—so these blocky tributes were not messing around.
Inspired by the iconic golden RAC trophy traditionally awarded at Silverstone, these commemorative builds are part of LEGO’s ongoing partnership with F1—which already gave us fully drivable brick F1 cars in Miami. And now? They’ve built trophies too. What’s next, a LEGO podium that sprays 1×1 round studs instead of champagne?
Also, while Norris was busy lifting the real thing at Silverstone, fans over at LEGO’s F1 Family Watch Party in London got up close with a replica of the gold-adorned version—just in case watching from home wasn’t already cool enough.
