Lenovo Legion Go Fold Concept

Handheld gaming PCs have been on a roll lately, and Lenovo’s Legion Go lineup has been riding that wave nicely. The latest experiment from the Legion lab is something a little more… flexible. Enter the Lenovo Legion Go Fold Concept, a foldable handheld gaming device that wants to give players more screen without asking them to carry a full laptop.

What do you know? It’s a PC, too!

If the idea sounds familiar, it should. We recently saw something similar with the ONEXSUGAR Wallet foldable gaming handheld, though Lenovo’s take is more toward a hybrid gaming PC.

At the heart of the concept is a POLED display that expands from 7.7 inches to 11.6 inches. Folded down, it behaves like a traditional handheld gaming device with detachable controllers attached. Open it up, and the device becomes something closer to a compact portable gaming monitor.

Lenovo designed the concept with four modes. Standard Handheld Mode uses the 7.7-inch display for classic portable play. Vertical Split-Screen Mode lets players run a game on one screen while watching a walkthrough on the other. Horizon Full Screen Mode rotates the device to take advantage of the full 11.6-inch display. Expanded Desktop Mode pairs the handheld with a wireless keyboard and touchpad for gaming, browsing, or work. The right controller can even function as a vertical mouse.
