Panasonic Lumix DC-S9 Full-frame Mirrorless Camera

We heard the new Leica D-Lux 8 camera will not be reproduced by its partner Panasonic. But fret not imaging enthusiasts because Panasonic has a new compact snapper for your consideration too and it is the Panasonic Lumix DC-S9. But the Panasonic Lumix DC-S9 is not compact point-and-shoot, though. It is much, much more.

Billed as the first “flat-design” full-frame mirrorless camera in the Lumix S series, the new DC-S9 is a sleek, lightweight (just 403g body-only weight) and compact camera that offers high image quality via its 24.2 MP 35 mm full-size CMOS sensor while professional-level features for unleashing your creativity. It includes a new smartphone app, Lumix Lab, for creating and transferring LUT files easily.

Other key notables include a new generation Venus Engine, high subject tracking with Phase Detection AF, reduced handshake with Active I.S., and an easily accessible independent real-time LUT button.

The standard Panasonic Lumix DC-S9 Full-frame Mirrorless Camera is available for pre-order in Jet Black, Crimson Red, Dark Olive, or Night Blue with 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 Lens for US$1,799.99. Pre-orders are expected to start shipping starting from June 29, 2024.

Over in Japan [JP], the Panasonic Lumix DC-S9 is offered in a choice of black or retro silver (lovely! 🥰) and black colorways, while the colors are paid options.
