Nokia 7.1: Affordable Android Experience By The Way Of Android One

I have been into gadgets for way too long. In the past, I thought if you want the best, you have to pay significantly more, but thankfully, this isn’t the case anymore. The new Nokia 7.1 is one good example. It is by no means the best, but I’d say it is value for money. With the escalating phone prices, it is nice to know that you can still can decent spec-ed device without busting the bank. Aesthetically, it is pretty – thanks in part to the expansive PureDisplay screen technology. It is the annoying notch though, but we are kind of used to it and less annoyed by now. Here Are Four New Android Phones From Nokia Coming Your Way

In addition to the reloading the iconic “Banana” phone, HMD Global, the official maker of Nokia handsets, also announced it will be bringing four new Android-powered Nokia devices to the market. These devices include Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, a new Nokia 6 and Nokia 1. In the same announcement, HMD Global also said that it is “to become the first global partner to have a full suite of devices selected into the Android One program by Google. Interesting move there and a very good news for Android fans who prefer pure Android experience as opposed to mostly bloated UI offered by majority of the handset makers today. Iconic Nokia 8110 “Banana” Phone Is Coming Back, Blessed With Android OS

If you ask me, nostalgia in mobile phone is hardly enticing because, keypad phones most certainly can’t keep up with the demands of today’s users, but apparently won’t stop licensed Nokia phone maker, HMD Global, from doing so. The company started reloading with the 3310 last year and now, it is bringing back the iconic Nokia 8110 “Banana” Phone to market. Yes. The “Banana” phone. The same phone that Neo used in the first Matrix movie. Not only is HMD giving the iconic slider phone an updated look, albeit quite subtly, it is also bring modern 4G connectivity to it. Leaked Nokia 8 Images Suggest Zeiss Optics And Copper-like Casing

HMD Global, the Finnish company that bought part of the rights to design and market Nokia phones from Microsoft, has been quite about the company first-ever flagship device, Nokia 8, but this being the Internet, words tend to get around pretty fast and so, here it is, the so-called first look of the Nokia 8 (more like leaks, really). Also, and naturally, it will be an Android device which will run on Android 7.0 and as the images suggests, it will be touting a dual-lens setup from Zeiss optics. Zeiss optics should not come as a surprise since earlier this month, HMD Global and Zeiss did announced to put the optic maker’s ware on Nokia phones moving forward. Nokia 6 Arrives In The USA, Available Starting July On Amazon For $229

Earlier this year, HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for mobile phones and tablets, announced its first Nokia smartphone, the Nokia 6, since its ‘resurrection’, but unfortunately, to the dismay of the international community, it was then said that it will only be sold in China. However, it looks like the company has a change of heart because official words have been released, saying that Nokia 6 is headed to U.S. shores and it will be available starting July 2017 through Amazon, priced at $229. This should come as good news as those who are dying to get their hands on it will not have to turn to unauthorised seller who don’t offer any warranty. Nokia 3310 Lives Again In Color And With A Month’s Worth Of Battery Life

So you heard the exciting rumor and now here the official words from the maker: Nokia 3310 is alive once again – thanks to licensed Nokia phone maker, fellow Finnish company, HMD Global. If you are expecting an exact replica with modern innards, well, then I am afraid you might be disappointed. To be honest, I was expecting an identical reboot, except for more modern touches like the inner workings. So, in a way, I was both excited and disappointed. I mean, the phone is sleek and all, but it is not the 3310 we adored and you can’t even switch out the case like most Nokia handsets could in those days. Then again, I really shouldn’t cling on to the past. Continue reading Nokia 3310 Lives Again In Color And With A Month’s Worth Of Battery Life

HMD Resurrects Nokia Smartphone, Brings Nokia 6 To China Market

Nokia smartphone has rose from the ashes thanks to HMD Global Oy, a Espoo, Finland-based company, who has proclaimed itself as the new home of Nokia phones and tablets. HMD is the exclusive licensee of the Nokia brand for mobile phones and tablets, and the first phone to roll out under its wing is an Android phone called Nokia 6. Before we continue, we ought to forewarn you not to expect anything extraordinary. Beyond the marketing talk about the “new design philosophy,” the Nokia 6 features are rather rudimentary, really. That’s not to say HMD isn’t giving it less TLC. The company surely did, after all, it is the company’s first Nokia Android phone.
