Technically, this is the fourth Paul George Nike shoes, but in Nike’s perspective, it is the third signature shoe because, PG2.5 is consider a branch off of the PG2. Don’t ask why it so. Nike’s Third Paul George Kicks Pays Homage To The Original Playstation

Video game console-themed sneakers are not new. We have seen it happen before, notably the two creations by shoe customizer Freaky Sneaks: a pair of Super Nintendo-theme and a pair of NES-themed Jordan. But those weren’t the official Nike goods, until Paul George declared his passion for video gaming and his love for Playstation. And then the PG2 was born. Paul George’s 2nd Nike Shoes Is Playstation-themed, Has Light Up Logo

As it turns out, Paul George considered himself as quite a big of a fan of video gaming and so, for this second collaboration with Nike, he and designer Tom Hardy has infused video gaming theme into the kicks by the way of Playstation them – with the blessing from Sony, of course. Now, being a “Playstation” shoes does not immediately made it a pair of high-tech sneakers. On the contrary, they are not. Well, unless you consider having light up function is “high-tech” which, in this case, it probably is. Anyways, this second signature shoe in the name of NBA athlete Paul George is, if you didn’t already noticed, also a collab with Sony, specifically the company’s video game console, Playstation – the video game console of choice of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s small forward. Paul George’s First Nike Signature Shoe Has His Portrait On The Insoles

Designed by Nike Basketball designer Tony Hardman (who is the same man responsible for Run The One and Hyperchase), Nike PG1 is the very first signature shoe of NBA star, Indiana Pacer’s Paul George who is also Nike’s 21st signature athlete in 44 years and boy, does this pair of kicks look awesome. Sporting a low-cut design, the light grey PG1 features a couple of design touches that points to the man’s passions, including a 2K-rendered portrait on the insoles connect to George’s love of gaming and also, his status as cover athlete of the video game NBA 2K17, while a bobber-inspired lace lock and fish scale detailed upper points to his other interest: fishing.
