Porsche Brought Its First Sports Car Back To Life As A Show Car

Eight months is how long it takes for Porsche to bring back its first sports car, the Porsche 356 “No. 1” Roadster, back to life. For a car this old, restoring it to its original form was a daunting task. Undaunted, Porsche Museum took a 3-D scan of the actual classic before superimposing the virtual model onto the scanned design drawings from 1948. Peugeot Unveils A Radically New Sedan And An Adventure-seeking Van-like SUV

I think I may not be able to write much because, I may be too excited. Now, the thing is, I am not usually thrilled by Peugeot automobiles, but here we have are two rides that managed to tickle my fancy somewhat. The first is an all-new, and may we say, radical, sedan designated Peugeot 508 and the other, a MPV-ish Sports Utility Vehicle (that’s what Peugeot is referring to as, btw) that took on a name that’s a departure to the French automaker’s naming norm and it is called Peugeot Rifter. Oh man. I don’t even know where to begin. Lets start with the 508, shall we? Continue reading Peugeot Unveils A Radically New Sedan And An Adventure-seeking Van-like SUV

Audi Prologue is a Preview of the Automaker’s New Design Direction, Looks Like a S-Class Coupe Killer

Last week, the four-ring emblem automaker unveiled a ride that aims to show off the company’s new design direction and boy was it a stunner. While the overall still remains very Audi-ish, it does inject a breath of fresh air to the current stable. The focus is on the design, there are some pretty cool techie stuff baked into this potential S-Class coupe killer, but then again, as the showcar’s model name implies, it is merely a prologue to what are to come from Audi. Sporting a flowing design that starts with a chiseled front and smooths out to the rear, the Prologue is both elegant and sporty – a formula which luxury brands have been adhering up to this day. It looks stretched, but it is in fact shorter and flatter than the current A8, measuring 16.7 feet long (5.1 meters), 6.4 feet across (1.95 meters), and is just 4.6 feet tall (1.39 meters). This Ultimate Sleeper Car is a 850HP Dragster Disguised as a 2015 Camry

I am sure everyone who comes by here knows what’s a sleeper car. If you don’t, not to worry, cos’ here’s a perfect example: the Toyota Sleeper Camry. Ok. Maybe the name is a little way too literal. Anyway, on the street, a sleeper car is never spelt out loud and on the street, a sleeper car simply means a car that looks pretty much ordinary or stock, but under the hood, it is a living, breathing (if not fire breathing) beast that usually leaves its competition in awe and disbelief. Think you get the idea. However, clearly, this is not the case with the Toyota Sleeper Camry, because underneath its 2015 Camry outer shell, lies a purpose-built 850 horsepower dragster that, when fired up, produces an unmistakable ear-splitting growl typical of a dragster. WD-40 Teamed Up with PowerNation to Create This Specialist Extreme Machine for SEMA Show

Can a 1990 Jeep Wrangler be transformed into something even more radical despite its age? Of course it can and the WD-40 Specialist Extreme Machine you see here is one such inspiring example. WD-40 Company teams up with automotive show producer PowerNation to turn a 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ (pictured below) into a lean, mean off-roader now aptly referred to as WD-40 Specialist Extreme Machine. The LS engine-powered ride is build on a tube chassis and features an aluminum body finished in custom paint job, coilovers suspension setup all-round (looks some really long travel stuff), and rides on tall 42-inches knobby tires which appears to be wrapping around some sweet chrome billet wheels. It also appears to sport a bar of LED (we might be wrong) and it is naturally fitted with the obligatory roll cage. Toca-tuned 600HP Hyundai Genesis Sedan Heads to SEMA Show

We hate to tease you with so many cars that you can’t buy, but just look at this Toca Hyundai Genesis Sedan, do you think we bear not to let you guys see it? Nope. We are kind people and we share because we care, and hence this article. Anyway, on with the story. The Toca-tuned Genesis here, dubbed Steel Phoenix, will join JP Edition 2015 Sonata Turbo, Bisimoto Engineering 2015 Sonata, Ark Performance AR550 Genesis Sedan and Blood Type Racing Genesis Coupe, at this year’s SEMA show. While the BTR Genesis Coupe remains the one with the most insane power output, the Toca’s Genesis sedan ain’t too shabby too. Designed and tuned to go head-to-head with the German super sedans, the Steel Phoenix boasts a “Tau” 5.0-liter V8 unit, reworked to unleash over 600 horsepower, thanks to a pair of custom-fabricated Garrett twin-turbo setup that adds a good 180 ponies to the already mean powertrain. you probably have drooled over the custom Zetros of the two Mongolian businessmen and dream of something of sort. well, it looks like the pointed star marque takes heed and has officially, pulled the bed off the Mercedes-Benz Zetros truck and slapped a mobile home onto it that will provide you with another type of bed – one which you can sleep on. so yes. we are talking about a Zetros-based motor home (or RV, if you prefer), which is currently showing off its stuff at Europe’s leading trade fair for recreational vehicles, the Caravan Show in Düsseldorf. what the Zetros with Mobile Home offers is the extreme off-road capability of a Unimog, but with the load-carrying capacity of a heavy truck. like the Unimog, the Zetros has a cab-behind-engine configuration, which makes for a spacious cab that is not too towering and thus facilitates easy ingress and egress. Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept

if you find that the Audi Nanuk Quattro Concept is somewhat familiar, let us assure you that you probably haven’t seen it until the ninth, but it does bear some remembrance to the Giugiaro Parcour Concept that appeared at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year. not surprisingly, cos’ it was designed in collaboration with the designers from Italdesign Giugiaro, the designer of the Parcour all-terrain supercar. the similarity in form is unmistakable, but it does bear quite a bit of Audi-ish marks, of which, we find the front end has a striking resemblance to the R8. this two-seater, re-thought crossover concept is powered by a newly developed 5.0-liter V10 turbo-diesel has over 544 horsepower (400 kW) and delivers a metal-twisting 1,000 Nm (737.56 lb-ft) of torque at, wait for this… just 1,500 rpm. absolutely mind blowing, no doubt. together with a beefed up 7-speed S-tronic, this 1,900 kilograms (4,189 lbs) monster is able to launch from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and on the way to a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph).
