It is hard not to take many looks at the Toyota bZ Time Attack Concept. It looks like a spaceship… with wheels. Debuted at SEMA 2025 last month, the all-electric bZ Time Attack is an AWD concept that pushes the limits of EV performance. It is Toyota’s first dabble in a battery-electric SEMA concept build. This road-hugging machine is not your everyday sports car or sports sedan. It is a purpose-built BEV for time attacks and hill climbs. Hence, the name.
Toyota started with the 2026 AWD bZ, which already clocks 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) in 4.9 seconds with 338 horsepower. The motorsports engineers then transformed it into something far more serious. Output climbs to over 300 kW (400+ hp), pushed to all four wheels through R&D-tuned motors and bespoke calibration. The car sits a massive six inches (152 mm) lower than stock, with a six-inch (152 mm) wider track to match.
The aggressive widebody, front splitter, rear diffuser, skirts, and oversized wing were created using laser scanning, CAD development, and large-scale 3D printing before being finished by hand. It is the kind of process normally reserved for prototype race cars, not everyday showpieces.
Underneath, the concept packs TEIN coilovers, Alcon brakes with Hawk pads, an FIA-spec 4130 chromoly roll cage, and OMP racing seats. It rides on 19×11-inch BBS Unlimited wheels wrapped in hefty 305/30ZR19 rubber, delivering grip that looks ready to peel the tarmac.
The body wears a tri-color metallic white, black, and red scheme that makes the car look like it arrived directly from a high-speed wind tunnel test. Toyota calls this a look into future BEV motorsport development. Judging by its stance alone, that future is not going to be subtle.
The Toyota bZ Time Attack Concept is not for sale, obviously. At least, not yet. It is probably a proof of concept, or perhaps a showcar to make you want to buy the AWD bZ and soup it up.
