There are thousand and one ways to show off your wealth. Having a luxury phone, or one that’s pimped out in gold and diamonds, is another, but why stop there when you can also give your iMac the same gold treatment? Goldgenie, the maestro of all-thing gold, is doing just that. The London-based company is offering you the million dollar look by coating your iMac or MacBook embellished in real 24K gold for a modest starting price of 8,000 Sterling Pounds (around US$11,470). Or you could buy a 24K Gold 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display by Goldgenie outright from them for a little more quids, amounting to £9,997 (about US$14,340), a price which requires a mandatory 50% deposit (£4,998.50) payable upon ordering.

Goldgenie said they are now working on an order of 50 Apple Mac units, slated for mid-Feb 2016 delivery, for a web developers’ office currently being built in China. On a side note, this kind of gives you a hint of how freaking much these web developers in China are rolling in. Anywho, the 24K Gold 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display, which is crafted and finished entirely by hand, took over 650 hours man-hours to realize.

Within the shiny gold chassis lurks a 4GHz Intel Core i7 quadcore processor, backed by 32GB RAM, 1TB Flash storage, and an AMD Radeon R9 M395X with 4GM memory. Each unit comes standard with Magic Mouse 2, along with Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Keyboard – all of which are, unfortunately, not gold coated for obvious reasons. If there’s anything a filthy rich geek could use to showoff its wealth, it would be this, well, at least for a start.
