Canadian luxury phone maker has announced its first touchscreen phone. drawing its inspiration from gems, the phone sports sharp geometrical surfaces that reflects light differently due to its varying angles. two models were announced, the Grand Touch and the Grand Touch GCB. both phones are crafted with precision CNC machine with the former from solid aircraft aluminum, anodized to give it an elegant hard surface that can withstand day to day usage. the GCB, on the other hand, is machined out from solid brass and plated with gold. the touch luxury continues to the back with two pieces of sapphire crystal meeting at a sharp angle, with the battery cover taking up one piece of this precious glass.

the attention to detail is nothing short of exquisite and meticulous: ranging from the perfectly round buttons that has become a trademark of Mobiado phones to the gun metal black stainless steel screws to the CNC engraved signature of its designer, Peter Bonac, at the top of its body – in short it makes you want to exclaim “this is the art of phone making!” under the hood, the Grand Touch and Grand Touch GCB are unlocked, quad-band GSM and features modern technologies such as 5.0-megapixels rear-facing camera with LED flash, geo-tagging and touch focus for imaging, a front facing VGA camera, a glorious 4-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, audio and video playback and a trio of sensors that include accelerometer, proximity sensor and 3 axis gyro sensor.
like any good modern mobile phone, it is bestowed with myriad of connectivity including microUSB, aGPS, HSDPA, WiFi, GPRS, EDGE, EDR and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP. at the heart of the phone is 1-GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, supported by 512-MB of RAM and a 16-GB onboard storage ensure ample space for all your digital contents. personally, i think the highlight is probably the gorgeous contour display with curved glass screen. totally exquisite. the Grand Touch comes in six sophisticated color options that include black, black satin, blue, grey, red and silver. the Grand Touch GCB is available in either traditional yellow gold or rose gold.
