well, if you are looking forward to the next GT from the Shelby’s stable, you wait it finally over. Shelby American has taken the wrap off the new Shelby GT at the recent 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. based on the 2014 Ford Mustang GT (hence, the look), this Shelby-touched GT will be offered in a 430 hp naturally aspirated model, as well as a 525 hp or 624 hp supercharged versions. in the latter guise, the GT is totally capable of wiping the 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.7 seconds and conquer the quarter mile in mid 11s. power is not only the only thing the new GT is touting; it has an “attractive price tag” starting at just $45,000, which according to Shelby American VP of Sales, Gary Patterson, has the performance-to-price ratio perfect for any serious pony car enthusiast. well, that “serious pony car enthusiast” still has to have pretty deep pockets regardless.

entry level package aka the 430 hp version, includes Ford Racing suspension, Shelby-branded exhaust, intake and engine tune for 430 ponies, specially designed wheels and tires, short shifter, hood and Le Mans stripes that make sure your stallion stands out from the horde of Mustangs. the base price of the Shelby GT package, less the car, is $14,995, while the GT/SC package starts at $27,995. hit the jump for a few more look.
