It has come so far that the Elantra today is not the ride that some aspiring modder turned into a cheesy Iron Man ride. It is a classy sedan that now has been given Hyundai’s high-performing mark: N. That’s how far Elantra has come.
Last November, this beautiful sporty sedan was refreshed and given motorsport-inspired performance and design that makes it worthy for the tracks too. That’s right, my friends, you may be a family person but you can still hit the track with your only daily driver.
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N has been updated with advanced technology from motorsport competition to enhance performance, stability, and comfort.
Notable for its sport sedan appeal since its 2021 launch, the refreshed model features redesigned exterior elements like the front bumper, LED headlamps, and 19-inch alloy wheels, along with motorsport-derived enhancements for better comfort, safety, and agility.
Upgrades include a reinforced engine mount, improved steering feedback, and optimized electronic controlled suspension, plus new aerodynamic and cooling improvements for better performance and efficiency.
The Elantra N is powered by a new 2.0T engine developed specially for N models that packs 276 HP and 289 lb-ft (392 Nm) of torque and is paired with a choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Its motorsports-inspired design highlights the N brand’s high-performance ethos, making it a standout in its class. I would not say it is affordable but as far as performance sedan goes, it is kind of considered affordable, starting at US$32,900.
