Genesis Reveals Eclectic 2-seater EV Concept Called Mint Concept

Hyundai-owned electric car marque, Genesis, has revealed a new all-electric concept called Mint Concept at this year’s New York International Auto Show. The cutesy Mint Concept is primarily a city car and a premium one at that, according to Genesis. It is a two-seater EV with extremely short front and rear overhangs, Quad Lamps front and back, a Crest Grille on its very Tesla-ish front, “signature Parabolic Line” that wraps around the entire body, a concave rear, and G-Matrix pattern for efficient cooling and airflow circulation around the battery floor. Future KIA And Hyundai Cars Will Have Solar Charging Roof And Hood

Thinking out-of-the-box is a NOT thing with most automakers. Tell them the goal is to reduce emissions, they give you hybrid or electric vehicles. While KIA and Hyundai also does the same, their latest plan will make them stands out. KIA Motors and its parent company, Hyundai, has revealed plans to introduce ‘solar roof’ charging technology on select Hyundai Motor Group vehicles. You know we have a tag called “Weird Stuff”? Yea. We do. Under normal circumstances, custom cars will never fall under this category. It is almost impossible to brand a custom ride as “Weird Stuff” unless it was one that looks like a dick, or to be precise, one that was intentionally modeled after a man’s penis. Hyundai Fuel Cell Electric Cars Drove Itself From Seoul To Pyeongchang

If you have not been keeping abreast with car innovations, you may want to know that South Korean automaker Hyundai has been working diligently in the area of fuel cell-powered electric vehicles and it has made some serious progress in this area. To showcase the company’s fuel cell development, the company has commissioned a head-turning, very black pavilion that is part art installation, part education center that aims to entertain and at the same time, educate visitors about its fuel cell technology. But the darkest building in the world is not the only thing the company had going; the automaker also announced, on February 4, a fleet of Hyundai next generation fuel cell electric vehicles had successfully completed an autonomous journey from Seoul to PyeongChang. South Korea public car parts company, Hyundai Mobis has reportedly developed the world’s first panoramic sunroof airbag that is designed to protect the occupants in an unfortunate rollover. Yup. You heard that right. Airbag now has found a place on the roof too. Boy, why do I get the feeling that it is going to be standard on premium cars in not too-distant-future? And Hyundai is going to win on this. Oh, I know why. Because, the company has no less than 11 patents filed when developing this new safety feature and it isn’t a concept; it will be primarily implemented on the South Korean automobile manufacturer’s premium SUVs, starting with the Genesis SUV.
