Honor 200 Series Smartphone

It is the season of mid-high-range devices. Joining the slew of mid-high-range devices like the Oppo Reno12, Oppo K12, Meizu 21 Note, and the Vivo S19 Series is the Honor 200 series, which includes the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. The new Honor 200 follows the current trend in China in which one of the two devices has a flat-screen.

However, the Honor 200 [CH] is not a completely flat display; it has equal curved sizes all around. The Honor 200 Pro [CH] model has a full-blown curved display. The main differences between the two devices are the dimensions, the back cover finish, the screen size and resolution, the chipset, and the different camera sensors for the main camera.

The battery capacity is the same at 5,200 mAh and both devices enjoy Honor 100 W super fast charging but the Pro has an added 66 W Honor super fast wireless charging.

The back glass is less curved on the standard 200 while the Pro version is a lot curvier. The Honor 200 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2,664 x 1,200 pixels) OLED display while the Pro has a 6.78-inch FHD+ (2,700 x 1,224 pixels) OLED.

Both devices are powered by a Snapdragon chipset with the standard model powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform and the Pro model powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform.

The Honor 200 and the Honor 200 Pro share the same 50 MP telephoto camera (f2.4, OIS) and 12 MP super wide angle (f2.2) camera with autofocus but the standard has a 50 MP wide-angle main camera with f1.95 aperture and OIS, while the Pro has a 50 MP wide angle with f1.9 aperture with OIS.

Both devices have a 50 MP wide-angle selfie camera with f2.1 aperture but the Pro has an additional sensor. Beyond those, I believe both devices are practically identical.

The new Honor 200 Series is launched in China with a starting price of 2,499 yuan [CH] and 3,499 yuan [CH] for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro, respectively.
