LEGO x The Pokémon Company Building Sets

Hell must have frozen over for Mattel when LEGO went into partnership with The Pokémon Company. Then again, Mattel’s MEGA rights to produce Pokémon building sets ended last December, so there is nothing to be sore about, right? Anyhoo, you heard it is happening, well, it has happened now. LEGO has officially launched its first-ever Pokémon building sets. But before you kids get swooned over, know this: they are made for Adult Fans of LEGO.

LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball (72152)

After nearly 30 years of Pikachu shocking people for fun and profit, Pokémon has finally crossed into LEGO territory. The first wave launches on February 27, 2026, and it pulls out some heavy hitters right away. We are talking Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, all rebuilt brick by brick, and all clearly designed to sit proudly on shelves, not under beds.

The star of pure drama is the Pikachu and Poké Ball set. It recreates that classic moment of Pikachu leaping out of a Poké Ball like it just got called into battle five minutes late. The base looks like a lightning strike froze mid-zap, complete with a black lightning rod design and glowing energy effects. There is even a hidden “25” on the base to mark Pikachu’s Pokédex number. You can pose Pikachu mid-launch for action shots, or sit it down nicely when it is time to pretend you are a calm adult with hobbies.

Then there is the monster of the lineup: Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise in one gigantic display set. This thing is massive, and so is the piece count. Each of the three Kanto legends gets its own detailed build with articulation, and they can be displayed alone or together on a shared base packed with little easter eggs tied to their environments. It is basically a shrine to Generation One, and no one is even pretending otherwise.

LEGO Pokémon Eevee (72151)

If that sounds a bit too intense, there is Eevee. Cute, poseable, and small enough not to scare your furniture. Its head, tail, and limbs move, and it is designed to be built solo or with friends using LEGO’s Build Together app. This is the emotional support Pokémon of the lineup. Such is the world we live in. There are gym partners. Yoga partners, and now LEGO building partners.

LEGO is also running a Pokémon scavenger hunt from January 12 to February 27, hiding digital clues across LEGO and Pokémon content. Crack enough of them, and you could win a trip to PokémonXP and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, plus all three LEGO Pokémon sets. Casual prize, nothing major.

There is also a gift-with-purchase bonus. From February 27 to March 3, if you buy the big Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set at LEGO stores or LEGO.com, you get a Kanto Region Badge Collection. It is a display case with all eight original gym badges, removable and locked in with a Poké Ball-style latch. Yes, it is exactly as nerdy as it sounds.

And if you are deep in the LEGO ecosystem, LEGO Insiders can redeem points for a mini Pokémon Center build, complete with a healing station, seating area, and tiny details that will make you lean in way too close.
