Redmagic 11 Pro+ Golden Saga Smartphone

Remember Redmagic had a 10 Pro Golden Saga Edition? Well, there’s a Golden Saga for the new Redmagic 11 Pro, too. For the Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga Limited Edition Bundle, as it is officially called, the 11 Pro gets the full glittering black-and-gold treatment, which, thanks to the liquid cooling system, is even more striking than last year’s.

The device introduces the industry’s first mass-produced flowing gold-accented cooling system, dubbed the Golden AquaCore Cooling System, along with the first-ever gold-plated vapor chamber and gold-and-silver composite air ducts for superior cooling performance and optimized airflow.

Topping off the ultra-luxe design is a durable, premium carbon fiber finish, a polished, glossy metal frame, and lots of gold. There’s the gold-plated power button, the gold-plated Golden Saga logo, which sits on the visible side of the gold-and-silver composite air ducts, and a gold-plated Redmagic logo. Rounding out the tech-luxe checklist is aerospace-grade sapphire glass sourced from the same supplier used for satellite optics. Redmagic says this glass ranks a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale.

Complementing the black-and-gold device are a gold-plated SIM ejector pin, a magnetic Kevlar protective case, a magnetic Heat Dissipation Device 4.0—gold-accented, no less—and a Kevlar pattern Golden Saga and Redmagic co-branded 120 W Redmagic fast charger with a matching black-and-gold charging cable. In China, the collector’s edition also comes with an individually numbered gold VIP card. The soon-to-launch global version appears to come with a black card, as with the regular non-collector’s edition in China.

Beyond the Golden Saga treatment, it is pretty much the Redmagic 11 Pro+ you already know. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, combined with Redmagic’s RedCore R4 gaming chip in a dual gaming chipset setup. Performance is further bolstered by the fastest LPDDR standard currently available, LPDDR5T, and UFS 4.1 Pro storage. LPDDR5T can reach up to 9.5 Gbps per pin and is 13% faster than LPDDR5X, while UFS 4.1 Pro is a performance-enhanced implementation of the UFS 4.1 specification.

Expect the device to inherit features such as the CUBE Gaming Engine 3.0, a 7,500 mAh battery with 120 W Redmagic fast charging and 80 W wireless fast charging, a 144 Hz 1.5K X10 full-screen AMOLED display, IPX8-rated water and dust resistance, a 50 MP + 16 MP rear camera setup, a 50 MP under-display front camera, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, lag-free connectivity, dual SIM support, USB 3.2 Gen 2, and NFC.

The Redmagic 11 Pro+ Golden Saga Smartphone Bundle has launched in China in a 24 GB + 1 TB configuration for 9,899 yuan [CH]. Interestingly, the global version drops the Pro+ name and is simply called the Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga Smartphone Bundle. However, the product page lists 80 W wireless charging, which suggests it is, in fact, the Pro+ model.

Anyhoo, pre-orders for the US$1,499 Redmagic 11 Pro Golden Saga Smartphone Bundle are already sold out. Oops. I guess it doesn’t matter if it is the Pro or Pro+, or whether it is a typo, just a branding choice.
