If you are big on analog sound like a record player, Heddon also serves as a bridge between analog and digital listening, carrying the warmth and texture of vinyl into a connected, multi-speaker setup. You can tap into popular services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL, AirPlay, and Google Cast, all working seamlessly with Acton III, Stanmore III, and Woburn III speakers.
Heddon’s main party trick is synchronization. Multiple speakers play together in lockstep, creating a whole-home sound system that does not flinch when your phone gets a call or decides to play a video. Streaming runs independently of your phone, which means no battery drain and no awkward silences. Anyone connected to the same Wi-Fi network can also take control of the music, which is either a feature or a social experiment, depending on your household.
Auracast takes things further by allowing a large number of compatible speakers to connect within range, offering more than double the reach of standard Bluetooth in many environments and delivering higher audio quality with less compression. Setup is handled through the Marshall app with a simple one-time process, and the dedicated RCA input lets you plug in a record player or even loop in older Marshall speakers via cable. Some turntables may require an external preamp, which is worth noting.
