Remember how we declared it was the age of “dress” headphones when Huawei introduced the lipstick earbuds? Well, it did not happen. Also, while the Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick TWS Earbuds’ charging case did mimic the look of a lipstick, it was far from being a cosmetic or grooming product. Honor, however, has taken it to the next level. No, it does not have a lipstick, but it does have Perfume Earbuds. Folks, meet the Honor Choice DOINGTOP Perfume Earbuds—and yes, it is a functional perfume bottle.

The pill-shaped charging case has two parts that can be separated. The top one-quarter section is a perfume bottle. When you remove it from the charging case, the bottom reveals electrical contact points and a needle for drawing perfume from the fragrance of your choice. A window on this unit lets you monitor the remaining amount.
Almost the entire top surface is a button that lets you pair the Bluetooth earbuds to your smartphone when the case is open. There is no need to worry about the perfume being accidentally triggered while in your bag. To activate the spray, you need to long-press the button to unlock it before pressing again to spray. Remember to long-press again to lock it before stowing it away.
In perfume mode, i.e., when the charging case is closed, the ring of light around the large button will flash red and remain lit when successfully locked or unlocked. Fragrance is ejected through an atomizing nozzle with a built-in microporous atomizing plate, resulting in a more uniform droplet size and even dispersion of the fragrance mist.
When the charging case is open, the light turns green. Long-pressing the button for about three seconds enters pairing mode, where the ring flashes blue.

In the audio department, the Honor Choice DOINGTOP Perfume Earbuds [CH] boast an 11 mm high-dynamic driver with a wool paper bio-diaphragm for smoother, more natural sound, along with Hi-Res certified audio quality. Aesthetically, each earbud has a jewelry-like gold, crystallized design. Both the charging case and the earbuds are IP54 rated for dust and water resistance. The unit is finished in a gold colorway, with the case crafted from aluminum alloy with a UV vacuum coating.
It supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, multipoint connectivity, and USB Type-C charging. Each earbud houses a 40 mAh battery good for up to 9 hours of playback, while the charging case packs a 350 mAh battery offering up to 30 hours of playback.
The Honor Choice DOINGTOP Perfume Earbuds have been launched in China for 599 yuan [CH] (about US$87).
