By now, you should be familiar with BMW’s Neue Klasse offensive. We have seen the Vision Neue Klasse X preview the future of BMW SUVs. We have seen the upcoming iX3 usher in the production era of Neue Klasse. We have already seen what the next-generation i3 and future 7 Series look like.
But there has always been one question hanging in the air.
What about M?
Well, folks, wonder no more. Meet the BMW M Concept Neue Klasse.

Unveiled at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the BMW M Concept Neue Klasse is our clearest look yet at what the future of BMW M will look like when electricity takes over. More importantly, it is BMW’s way of saying that performance is not being left behind in the transition.
Visually, it is unmistakably M. The concept sports a muscular wide-body stance, flared wheel arches, aggressive aerodynamics, and a striking shark-nose front end. The familiar kidney grille and headlights have been merged into a single unit, while new yellow M lights, inspired by GT race cars and BMW’s M Hybrid V8 race machine, add a motorsport touch.
There are other racing influences too. The trimaran-style front bumper takes inspiration from high-speed sailing boats, while the rear features a prominent ducktail spoiler, floating diffuser, and new Track Lights that BMW says will become a future M signature.
Inside, the cabin keeps things focused on driving. Four bucket seats, red five-point harnesses, M-specific displays, and a generous use of natural-fibre materials remind occupants that this is not merely another luxury EV concept.

The real story, however, is hidden beneath the bodywork.
The BMW M Concept Neue Klasse previews a new BMW M eDrive system featuring four electric motors working in conjunction with BMW M Dynamic Performance Control. At the heart of the setup is a new vehicle control computer known as Heart of Joy, which manages power delivery, braking, traction, and stability on a wheel-by-wheel basis.
BMW is not talking horsepower, torque, top speed, or acceleration figures just yet. What it is talking about is dynamics, agility, and precision. In other words, the same qualities that have defined M cars for decades.
The concept also rides on BMW’s sixth-generation EV architecture featuring 800-volt technology and a battery pack with more than 100 kWh of capacity. BMW says the system is optimized for both high performance and fast charging.
If the iX3, i3, and future i7 represent the mainstream future of Neue Klasse, then the BMW M Concept Neue Klasse [DE] is the glimpse enthusiasts have been waiting for. It is not a production car, but it is a very loud statement that BMW intends to bring its motorsport DNA into the electric era—with all four motors blazing.
