In a strict technical sense, Aston Martin has rarely made true roadsters. If you adhere strictly to the traditional definition, the brand has built only one genuine modern example: the limited-run V12 Speedster. But now, it has another, and this one is a natural-born roadster without even trying. It is called the Aston Martin AMB 002 Roadster.
That’s right. It is an Aston Martin motorcycle. As a matter of fact, it is not just any motorcycle. It is the marque’s first street-legal motorcycle.
Unlike the track-only AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro that came before it, the 002 is fully engineered and certified for public roads. So, it presents awesome news for Aston Martin enthusiasts who also love two-wheelers.
Co-developed with Brough Superior, the AMB 002 Roadster takes that literal interpretation and turns it into a road-legal reality. Powered by an all-new 1,083 cc water-cooled V-twin pushing 130 hp and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque, this beautiful motorcycle boasts an ultra-light chassis built around a CNC-milled solid titanium backbone frame that weighs just 5 kg (11 lb), bringing its dry weight to roughly 190 kg (419 lb). That’s absolutely bonkers for a 1,000 cc bike.
While the news that it is a motorcycle money can buy is welcome—presuming money is no object for you—there’s another hurdle: it is limited to a production run of 300 units worldwide.
The Aston Martin AMB 002 Roadsters are hand-built in Toulouse, France, with deliveries expected in Q3 2027. Initial orders are now being taken. Neither Aston Martin nor Brough Superior has published the MSRP, but judging from the previous offerings and considering the build and exclusivity, it is likely in the six-figure range.
