new from Lomography is the latest incarnation of the LOMO LC-A+, in the form of White Japan Special Edition. as the name suggests, this Special Edition LC-A+ is in white, instead of the usual black body. aside from the obvious color difference, the Special Edition LC-A+ gets some artistic treatment in the form of fine leather embossed with the image of “Karesansui” and “25” (on the back of the camera) in honor of the Lomo LC-A+’s 25th anniversary.

this LC-A+ features the usual Minitar 1 32/2.8 lens, MX switch for easy multiple exposures, hot shoes for external flash and cable release thread for long exposure and low-light photography. further setting the Special Edition apart from its black sibling, is the customized wooden box and an exclusive Lomo L-Case White edition.

if you are a fan of the lomography, or the LC-A+ to be more specific, you would be glad to know this camera is limited to 1000 pieces world wide. at US$409.90, its close to 100 bucks cheaper than the Deluxe Kit but still expensive if you are not a true blue “lomo-head”. did lomography introduced this white edition to coincide with the winter season? hmmm.. white Japan… white winter… white christmas… get it?
