Audi clearly isn’t content with making cars that go fast, win rallies, and dominate Dakar. Nope. The German automaker also wants you to conquer mountain trails with a little extra wattage under your pedals. Back in 2023, Audi teamed up with Italian e-bike maker Fantic to release its first Electric Mountain Bike. Now, two years later, they’ve dropped the follow-up: the Audi Electric Mountain Bike 2.0 Powered by Fantic.

This second-gen enduro-style eMTB looks like it just rode straight out of the Dakar pits, complete with a livery inspired by Audi’s RS Q e-tron rally monster. But it’s not just a paint job upgrade. The 2.0 brings a SRAM GX Eagle Transmission AXS electronic rear derailleur, an SRAM XX SL Eagle 12-speed 10-52T cassette, and beefier EPTA STAGE brake rotors (220 mm front, 203 mm rear). Translation: it shifts smoother, brakes harder, and still manages to cost less than the original. More on the price in a sec.
The aluminum frame geometry keeps you relaxed while reacting to gnarly terrain, while the mullet wheel setup (29-inch front, 27.5-inch rear) nails both rollover ability and corner agility. In the handling department—specifically the suspension, it has been sorted, too. You get a fully adjustable Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork up front with 180 mm (7 inches) of travel, plus an Öhlins TTX22m.2 coil shock at the rear. Tubeless-ready Mavic wheels wrapped in Vittoria off-road tires complete the package.
Power comes from a 720 Wh, 36-volt lithium-ion battery tucked neatly in the frame, feeding a Brose S-MAG 250 W motor that churns out 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) of torque. Four assist levels (Eco, Tour, Sport, Boost) will help you tackle anywhere from 20 to 150 km (12-93 miles) per charge, at speeds up to 32 km/h (20 mph).
The new Audi eMTB 2.0 Powered by Fantic is available now through Audi Genuine Accessories with deliveries starting September 2025. Pricing starts at US$5,850.
