Bell & Ross has just revealed a new timepiece that is sure to tickle the fancy of vintage watch lovers. It is not vintage per se, but the Bell & Ross BR V3-94 Black Steel sure has the vintage vibe, with the boon of modern time-keeping technology and materials.
The new Bell & Ross BR V3-94 Black Steel Watch sports the classic circular case familiar to this range, but now larger, at 43 mm. As the product name implies, the case is of satin-polished steel on which a bidirectional rotating bezel with anodized black aluminum ring and 60-minute scale is attached to. It is classy, alright.
Powered by calibre BR-CAL.301 automatic mechanical movement, the BR V3-94 boasts white numerals and indices that contrast perfectly against the matte black dial. We dig the look. It reminds of the good’ol military watch of similar design.
Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds at 3 o’clock and date. Chronograph, on the other hand, features a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and central chronograph seconds. As you may have already noticed, there is a Tachymeter scale on the flange.
Other details include screw-down crown, sapphire case back, numerals and indices coated in Super-LumiNova, metal skeletonized Super-LumiNova-filled hour and minute hands, curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, black calfskin or satin-polished steel strap with stain-polished steel folding buckle, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet).
