concept vehicles are not new but the XSCAPE, designed by Shengjie Wang, looks like an early century horse carriage instead of some flashy, sports car. designed with flexibility in mind, this narrow vehicle is prep for the dense concrete jungle of the future. when exactly? we are not quite sure. the generous use of blue lights in and around the vehicle plus the hub-less, skinny wheels (with lights, of course), tells us that the XSCAPE is TRON-inspired. this isn’t exactly a new news but the highlight is, this unique vehicle is up for grab on eBay. this amphibious vehicle, dubbed the HydroCar, is designed and built by Rick Dobbertin and is capable of transforming from a road-going vehicle (though it still looks like a boat) to a tunnel-hulled watercraft within a few minutes. i am surprised BMW managed to come with so many variants under the brand name ‘Mini’. when the Mini first reappeared in the automotive market, i thought it would be another one-model lineup (what lineup?) car. never mind my skepticism, it has proven that there can be many Mini variants and more to come. the future is getting exciting with concept like this. what looks like just another ordinary car of the future, has a pair of unicycle bikes in it. i can’t help but to refer to the 80s cartoon series M.A.S.K., where the vehicles in the animated series are dual-function, for example a motorbike readily converts into a helicopter.
