What you are seeing here is an exclusive Bentley Flying Spur First Edition. The limited edition four-door Grand Tour will be revealed for the first time at the Elton John Aids Foundation Gala. It will be auctioned in support of the fund-raising charity at the inaugural Midsummer Party, Picozzi’s Villa Dorane on July 24, 2019, with all proceeds going towards the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Handcrafted in Crewe, the Bentley Flying Spur First Edition is not limited by numbers. Instead, it is limited to just 12 months of production starting at the end of 2019. So, you can’t really tell how many will be out there until the production is near conclusion in end of 2020.
Powered is derived from a 626 HP W12 engine, mated to an 8-speed ZF dual-clutch transmission, that enables this uber luxe Grand Tourer to rocket from zero to sixty in mere 3.7 seconds and it will do so with extreme sure-footedness – thanks to its Active All-Wheel Drive System and All Wheel steering.
What set the First Edition apart from the ‘lesser’ Flying Spur are exclusive features like First Edition exterior badge, First Edition Fascia badge – a Union Jack flag with the numeral 1 in the middle, a choice of First Edition Bentley Winged Emblems embroidered into the headrests, treadplates featuring the Union Jack flag with First Edition written through the center and a bunch of optional luxury equipment and exterior features as standard.
The Bentley Flying Spur First Edition further boasts a redesigned electronic Flying B mascot that deploys automatically, wings illuminated, when the owner approaches and unlocks the car.
Other highlights include a “technologically progressive touchscreen display” called Bentley Rotating Display, configurable interior mood lighting, single or dual finish veneers, 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof with tilt and slide front panel, and a bunch of safety features like lane assist, night vision, head-up display and adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist.
Fortunately, for you richie rich, the Bentley Flying Spur First Edition is not limited to the one heading to the charity event. As mentioned earlier, it will be produced for a period of 12 months starting end of 2019. So, if you want one, you should be talking to your favorite Bentley dealers as soon as possible.
