CUPRA DarkRebel Concept Car

Not sure how we missed featuring this when it was revealed last year. What you see here is a concept ride worthy of Darth Vader called DarkRebel from CUPRA—if he ever drives instead of zooming across the vast emptiness of space in an ion propulsion TIE Advanced x1, or it could be a star in Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell music video. Anyhoo, it has been more than a year since it premiered but damn, this car is cool that it would be a crime not to write about it.

CUPRA DarkRebel Concept Car

CUPRA’s DarkRebel concept car was revealed last year at the IAA in Munich, and it’s a wild one. Designed with input from over 270,000 CUPRA fans, this electric two-seater blends sports car aggression with a sleek, futuristic design. It’s got a liquid metal look, an illuminated spine, and light literally woven into its DNA—because why settle for ordinary? Inside, it’s all 3D printing, parametric design, and cutting-edge tech, making it feel more like a gamified driving experience than a traditional car.

While it’s still a concept, the DarkRebel pushes boundaries and shows what electric cars could be—bold, fast, and unapologetically rebellious. It is such a cool-looking ride that even after a year late, we have to talk about it.
