DELL XPS One 27 | from US$1,399.00 | www.dell.com
if your idea of life is minimalism, then you would probably opt for an All-In-One personal computer for your computing needs. for average users, the advantage of AIO is obvious: it cuts the clutter and makes our desktop look a whole lot neater. with so many AIO in market to choose from, it is not easy to set your heart on one but that would be a less painless process if you take into account the AIO’s aesthetic. the DELL XPS One 27 is just one of those that needs little deliberation. it features Quad-core third generation (that’s Ivy Bridge for you geeks) Intel Core processors – up to i7, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 2TB hard drive, Intel HD integrated graphics and/or NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 2GB graphics card, Waves MaxxAudio 4 sound card with integrated Infinity Premium Speakers, DVD/Blu-ray combo slot drive, built-in webcam with dual digital microphone, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and an array of I/Os that includes 4 x USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI in and out, SPDIF, audio line out, Infrared, RF receiver, headphone jack, as well as a multi-card reader. all these goodies are sandwiched between a 27-inch quad high-definition (QHD) display with edge-to-edge glass and a beautiful silver and black chassis with integrated adjustable stand. it probably won’t be an iMac-killer – they are of different platforms anyway but one thing for sure is, it will stop Windows users green with envy over iMac’s alluring form. oh, did we mention it comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit? yea. you probably already knew that, don’t you?
as with any DELL machine, the DELL XPS One 27 is configurable and is available in a choice of four base models with a starting price from $1,399. hit the jump for a few larger views.
