Have you heard of FCTRY LAb? Or NLE Choppa? No? Me neither. FCTRY LAb is a so-called black-led footwear prototyping lab by the former head of Yeezy Innovation Lab and NLE Choppa is an American rapper who has a rather unique taste for fashion. So what about them? Well, FCTRY LAb has partnered with the artiste to release a pair of what I thought was very NLE Choppa—judging from his various recent music videos—kicks called, wait for it, Duck Boot.
It is sold out by the way. But I still have to talk about it because it is so freaking cool! It is a massive pair of kicks that is sure to turn heads like the MSCHF Big Red Boot and Crocs x MSCHF Big Red Boots (Yellow). The FCTRY LAb x NLE Choppa Yellow Duck Boot, as it is called, is a pair of multi-material kicks with a bold, unique silhouette that redefines footwear.
The chunky and dynamic upper offers a striking form contrast to the narrow cuff. It is an absolute head-turner. There. I said it again. Because it is. It features an all-yellow injected EVA upper, a durable, multi-directional weathered outsole in gum rubber, and a comfy inner lining. The yellow boot is contrasted by a black cuff with vegan-friendly synthetic leather on the outside and a neoprene inside.
The Duck Boot has a unisex silhouette but in Men’s sizes. It was sold for US$250 a pair. The FCTRY LAb x NLE Choppa Yellow Duck Boot dropped on May 10 but it has since sold out.
