Something exciting in the world of RC flying happened last September when Razordon, in partnership with FLISHRC, launched the FLISHRC FL500 Black Hawk UH-60 500-Class 2.4GHz 6CH Scale RC Helicopter. Yes, that entire sentence is also the product name, and it is that long because it doubles as the spec sheet.

What makes this scale heli so cool is the fact that the replica UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter body is handmade. The scale body further features a realistic cockpit with pretty much all the details you can imagine. That’s just the body.
This model, the actual helicopter, boasts an all-carbon fiber chassis, an all-metal rotor head, all-metal gear FLISHRC servos, an 85-amp ESC (electronic speed controller), an L7 flight controller, and the golden feature for a lousy pilot like me: built-in GPS with four-mode GPS positioning. It can execute a fixed height and fixed point self-stabilizing hover, plus an intelligent return.
It is sold ready-to-fly, in a choice of MODE1 (right-handed throttle) or MODE2 (left-handed throttle). I don’t believe a battery is included. You will need a 4,300 mAh 6S 25C battery or equivalent designed for FL500 500-Class UH-60/AH-1/SH-60 helicopters.
The Black Hawk is pre-painted, and it does come with some decals to spruce up the aesthetic. It is a beautiful scale aircraft, but it does come with a hefty price. We are talking about at least US$2,499.99. That is a significant amount of investment to keep you sane in this crazy world, so you may want to check out the review by Jay Kujan before you commit.
