G-Shock x Sankuanz Limited Edition GA-700 Watch

G-Shock lovers, take note. CASIO G-Shock has come together with Chinese fashion label Sankuanz to release a limited edition GA700. The GA700SKZ-7A, also referred to as “Tundra,” boasts a bold polar camouflage color scheme comprising of white, green and dashes of pink on the bezel and the band, conceived by Sankuanz design lead, Shangguan Zhe. The colors lent to the watch was said to be inspired by the snowy mountains and tundra found in the northernmost parts of the world and a representation of the Sankuanz’s designs feature in the brand’s latest collection.

Now, I am sure the green, white and pink leans more to the latter cos’ I have no idea where one could find pink in the nature’s original setting. Just saying. However, my skepticism about the design does not make this watch any less desirable. In fact, I am kind of digging the look. Anywho, this being a Sankuanz collaboration, the timepiece, naturally, sports the fashion brand’s logo engraved on the casebook. The same fashion-forward camouflage and logo can also found on the other watch packaging with the collaborative timepiece comes in a round tin coated in very military-like green hue.

Other key features one can expect from the GA700SKZ-7A includes super illuminator LED light, 3D bold hands, an oversized front button, a five-year battery life. But as with most collaboration of such nature, Sankuanz’s touches are limited to design, while the rest of the watch is what you have come to expect from a G-Shock, specifically the GA700, which means you’d be getting the standard G-Shock technology of whooping 200 meter (656-foot) water resistant, shock resistance, world time, four daily alarms and one snooze, 1/100th second stopwatch, 1/10th countdown timer, 12/24 hour formats and a hand retract function – all packed inside a generously sized 53.4 mm case.
