Not every bike computer is made equal. Some just aren’t tough enough, which makes them less ideal for rugged use—like on a mountain bike. This is where the Garmin Edge MTB comes in. It is the GPS gear maker’s first-ever bike computer designed specifically for mountain bikers.

For starters, it’s one tough nut built for the trails. It boasts seven overmolded buttons that resist mud and grit, and a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass lens. The included top tube and MTB mounts give you different mounting options depending on your setup.
The new Garmin Edge MTB features full-color maps, new enduro and downhill ride profiles, and is the first bike computer in its class to rock 5 Hz GPS recording—letting you see your trail lines in greater detail during descents. It’s also equipped with a battery that’ll power your ride all day—up to 14 hours on a full charge, or up to 26 hours in battery saver mode.
Other highlights include timing gates, built-in maps, Forksight mode, MTB dynamics, and built-in safety and tracking features. You can learn more about the respective features or pick one up now from Garmin’s website for US$399.99.
