Godzilla Cream Puff with Soft Drink
Godzilla has already lent his likeness to burgers and ramen. At Nijigen no Mori, he becomes a cream puff with tiny eyes and an overflowing filling. The unusual dessert returns alongside the park’s Godzilla Minus One exhibition, giving fans another way to meet the kaiju before eating him.

Godzilla is no stranger to lending its name and image to food. We have already seen the incredible Godzilla Burger, complete with “dorsal fins,” and the Godzilla Ramen. But apparently, we have not seen it all.

Over at Nijigen no Mori, the anime theme park, they once served the Godzilla-1.0 Cream Puff. We had no idea at all, but not to worry, because the “was” has just become “is”. How? Nijigen no Mori Co., Ltd., which operates the Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park anime park “Nijigen no Mori,” has brought back the popular collaborative food item “Godzilla-1.0 Cream Puff” for a limited time to coincide with the “Godzilla-1.0 Special Exhibition Revival.”

The exhibition itself was first held in 2024 and featured exhibits relating to all things Godzilla Minus One. So, yes, the exhibition is back, probably to hype up the next installment, Godzilla Minus Zero, and it has brought along the Godzilla-1.0 Cream Puff.

This puff is not just Godzilla by name. It is an image of Godzilla, complete with eyes, albeit a little abstract. I have searched around, but I cannot find what it is made of. From the looks of it, it appears to have a dark, textured choux pastry shell baked with cocoa or bamboo charcoal to give it that rugged look, featuring small piped white chocolate dots for eyes. Sandwiched within is an overflowing cream base with raspberries and blueberries. I could be wrong.

I guess there’s only one way to find out, and that’s to hit up Morino Terrace in Nijigen no Mori to taste it yourself. At the park, you can also find a bunch of regular Godzilla-themed food [JP], too, like jet-black Godzilla curry, Godzilla Bucke, Godzilla Eclair, and more.

Circling back to the cream puff, the Godzilla-1.0 Cream Puff is not the only Godzilla-themed cream puff. There’s also one from Japan’s famed baked cream puff brand, Beard Papa’s. Unfortunately, that limited-time Godzilla Cream Puff was available back in July.

Anyhoo, this one has an exterior that looks even more like the radioactive reptile’s skin, thanks to the striking black choux pastry shell made with bamboo charcoal and baked with a special cookie-style dough for a crunchy texture. Meanwhile, on the inside, it has a bright strawberry cream with bits of fruit, creating a contrast between the dark exterior and the sweet-tart filling.
