Forget about desktop cables because, the Huawei MateView 28.2-inch 4K IPS Display is here to cut them all. While wireless display is not new, the Huawei MateView 28.2-inch 4K IPS Display sure has an impressive list of features with the look to boot.
Billed as a wireless, primary color display, the Huawei MateView 28.2-inch 4K IPS Display offers 4K+ (3,840 x 2,560 pixels) resolution, cinema-grade DCI-P3 RGB color space (98%, 100% sRGB), HDR, Desktop Mode, and a thing called Smart Bar.
The Smart Bar is a touch-sensitive control under the display that lets you click to confirm, double click to return, slide with one finger to adjust volume, swipe with two fingers to switch input source, and go to standby mode. Fancy feature to say the least.
Other spec sheet details include 500 nits of brightness, 3:2 ratio with 94% screen-to-body ratio, 60 Hz refresh rate, Rhine low blue light certification, 1.07 billion colors, dual band wireless 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, built-in stereo speaker (5W x 2) and far field microphones, and quite a number of I/Os, including 2 USB-C (a PD and a charging/data port with 65W fast charging support), 2 USB-A 3.0, a HDMI 3.0, a MiniDP (DP1.2) and a 3.5 mm headphone/mic combo jack.
All these features are packed in super thin package that looks absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, it appears that this monitor is out of reach of folks outside of its home market.
Huawei MateView 28.2-inch 4K IPS Display is available to order in China with the wireless edition going for 4,699 yuan and the standard wired edition, for 3,999 yuan (around US$733 and US$624, respectively).
